Disney – Crimson Wing
POSTED IN AV Project Management 26.01.2010
We were approached by Leander Ward, director and cinematographer on “The Crimson Wing” (Disney’s first natural history feature film in over 60 years). With an original score composed by Jason Swinscoe of The Cinematic Orchestra. We dealt with the video production requirements culminating in a breath-taking High Definition screening, with live score at The Union Chapel, London.
Barco HD 18k projectors (in hot back up) were used with HDCAM playback via Image Pro. Additional comfort monitors were provided for all band members and the orchestra, including a bespoke countdown timing flag for Jason to lock his Pro-Tools session to.
A full standing ovation by the audience greeted the end of this magical film and live score. It was an absolute pleasure to work with Leander and The Cinematic Orchestra, and to have to opportunity to demonstrate the true depth of this films clarity and the film makers vision in glorious High Definition.
